Certified Payment Processing (CPP) has hired Shawn Dalton as National Manager of Business Development. His responsibilities will include overall project management of CPPs new sales entity, ISIS Direct (Isis). Isis is not the traditional ISO/agent model which is most prominent in the industry. Instead, the sales model will incorporate a hierarchical, down-line structure that will generate rapid growth and create significant advancement opportunities for those in the outside sales force.
Shawn comes to us with significant experience in the merchant services and bankcard industry, says Tony Norrie, Vice President and General Manager. He has a solid and broad knowledge of the industry, having worked his way from a sales representative to positions of leadership, influence and growth at some of the largest companies in the business. We are honored to have him as part of our team.
Dalton, who assumed his new position in late September, comes to CPP with more than ten years in the credit card processing industry, including three years as Director of Sales Training for Chase Paymentech Solutions and two years as a sales trainer for First Data Merchant Services. He also worked in account management for First Data and ExaDigm, Inc. In his new role with CPP, he will work to build outside sales teams, develop partner relations, create training materials and assist with recruitment procedures and practices for Isis.
CPP is launching ISIS Direct, an innovative new sales division and we brought Shawn onboard to be the strategic catalyst in putting together all the details for this exciting new project, says Norrie. He will be invaluable with our current sales leaders, working to get this project organized, and his extensive background in sales training and development will be crucial as we move forward with this venture, getting our new team trained and ready for growth.
CPP now has three direct sales entitiesTransTech Merchant Group, Summit Merchant Solutions and ISIS Direct. Together, they employ nearly 400 sales associates.
In the Isis sales model, account consultants will have the ability to recruit and build their own field sales team members throughout the country to work directly with them to acquire new merchant accounts. When one of these account consultants is ready, they can also begin to recruit and train their own sales people. This is the hierarchical, down-line aspect of the unique sales structure.
We dont know of anything like Isis in our industry, says Norrie. We believe the strength of this model comes from this personalized, one-to-one approach to recruiting and training. We believe it will build a strong relationship bond and greatly impact retention of sales associates.
