Robison Energy, LLC, the largest combined gas, oil and electric company in metro New York, is expanding its regional presence with the launch of its new division, Original Energy. This energy systems consultancy and provider of natural gas offers services to commercial and residential customers in the five boroughs. Original Energy is headed by business partners David Singer, President, and Jim Slattery, Senior Vice President, who are backed by a team of seasoned energy professionals.
Both Original and Robison are established names in the energy industry. Original Consumers Oil was among the top oil companies serving the metro area from 1920 to the mid-1990s and was owned by the Singer family for more than 70 years. The Singer family purchased Robison, which also dates back to the 1920s, in 1980 and sold Original in 1995 in order to grow Robison. In its new iteration, Original Energy was recently welcomed back as a Robison brand to serve the five boroughs as a new division in a company known for its premier customer service, competitive pricing, and energy expertise.
Among the innovations that benefit Original customers are a streamlined oil to gas conversion process that saves time and money; continuous monitoring of natural gas markets, pipelines, and prices; and remote access fuel gauges that allow real time monitoring of fuel inventory.
As the industry is evolving and Robison grew its natural gas business, we recognized the need to dedicate a new division to our customers in the five boroughs, Singer said. Jim Slattery is highly regarded for his superior customer service during his former years with Robison from 1988 through 1995 and I am thrilled to have him back as my partner in this new division.
Slattery said he looks forward to working with his former oil customers: With a highly regarded brand, many of the same staff members who serviced our Original customers over 20 years ago, and the resources and reputation of Robison, we are in a position to negotiate with our customers best interests in mind.
