Wamar International Hails Opening of New Facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Simi Valley, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2012

Wamar International, LLC (Wamar), a leading global provider of premium services and products in the fields of Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Aviation, Real Life Support and Defense and Security, and stakeholder in Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC), a leading Saudi Arabian engine maintenance company, is proud to announce the inauguration of MEPCs new Saudi Arabian facility.

Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next to King Khalid International Airport, this customized workspace is already deemed a landmark, occupying 18,000 square meters. As MEPC services some of the most modern military engines in the world, the infrastructure was designed to provide the basis for developing additional sophisticated technical capabilitiesobjectives that both MEPC and Wamar place high standards on.

The Opening Ceremony on June 6, 2012 was attended by dignitaries of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Deputy Minister of Defense, HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Personally opening the innovative facility, His Royal Highness and other guests were present for the unveiling of the new state-of-the-art facility, which will further expand Saudi Arabias role in the aircraft industry worldwide.

With Saudi Arabia operating a large fleet of U.S. and European transport, combat aircraft and helicopters, the facilitys tailored layout allows MEPC the ability to significantly increase the number of engines to be handled, further enhancing production and efficiency. With current and future objectives of servicing end-products ranging from midsized turbo propulsion engines to extremely sophisticated jet engines used in Boeing F15s and Eurofighter Typhoons, the facility opening is just part of the exciting new developments occurring with MEPC.

The next step in MEPCs growth plan is the introduction of the T56 engine that powers the C-130 Hercules, of which Saudi Arabia operates the second largest fleet in the world. With goals to become the preferred military engine MRO provider in the Middle East, MEPC is in the final stages of selecting a supplier for its brand new engine test facility, which will be located right next to the workshop.

Wamar is proud and honored to be a part of this impressive development and we thank the contributing employees and leadership of MEPC that has enabled the achievement of the companys current positioning, says President and CEO of Wamar International, Nabil Barakat. In these strategic growth efforts, the new facility will provide highly-skilled development opportunities for Saudi Nationals in the aviation sector.

With the CEO of MEPC, Mr. Abdulahad Al Turkistani, expecting the MEPC workforce to triple by 2015, Wamar is excited to align with the overall growth plan, as well as the current goals of continuing to provide the Middle East with un-matched products, services and forward-thinking facilities through innovation.

MEPC is a joint venture between United Technologies International Corporation (parent company of Pratt & Whitney), Saudi Arabian Airlines, Al Mohawarean, MTU Aero Engines and Wamar International LLC.
